Plastics-to-Hydrogen Conversion enhanced by Hydrogen Utopia International
Hydrogen Utopia International LC, a company pioneering non-recyclable waste plastics to hydrogen technology, in May 2021 commissioned Electron Thermal Processing B.V. to design a chemical conversion chamber which will comprise the heart of an HUI waste plastic to hydrogen facility.
HUI has recently tasked Linde Engineering to provide engineering guidance and advice by assessing the interfacing of the kiln and synthesis gas designs. Where necessary or desirable, improvements will be suggested to enhance the potential performance, longevity and/or integration of a complete HUI waste plastic to hydrogen facility.
Furthermore, Linde Engineering will help facilitate the fabrication and commissioning of a fully integrated HUI waste plastic to hydrogen plant.

Last year HUI signed a framework agreement with Linde for the supply of technology and equipment to a waste-to-hydrogen system in Europe. HUI will build a waste-to-hydrogen system where plastics are converted into syngas. Linde Engineering will supply the technology to clean the syngas and also extract process hydrogen.
